Coaching & Mentoring: Empowering Future Leaders
What's the difference between a coach and a mentor?
Coaching focuses on a specific task; or how to "do" something and is "short term."
Mentoring focuses on the relationship; how the personal influences the professional and is "long term."
As a leader you are often called upon to function as both a coach and a mentor; and sometimes the roles can become blurred. However, there are times when a mentor acts as a coach and vice versa.
